Ryanne (Part II)

More pictures from Fri. when we took Ryanne home. Blue Earth is home to a very large Jolly Green Giant! There was a Green Giant plant in Blue Earth but it has been sold to another company. The light wasn't right for taking his picture from the front. There is another better picture of him on the blog somewhere. You can see how big he is by the last 2 pictures - his shoes are almost as tall as Ryanne & I! It was fun to see him up close & take pictures!

Got to see the boys at church yesterday and ask them about their first week of college. They like it! Rob came over and watched the NASCAR race with us last night since everyone else at his house was gone - Ross & Reed back to school and Glenn & Amy to a rodeo.

The weather this holiday weekend has been really, really nice. It's foggy this morning but supposed to be sunny & 80 today. Our town & the next are deserted this weekend - most people go to the lakes or camping. So it's nice and quiet.

Yesterday I made a special Sun. lunch of fried chicken, mashed potatoes & gravy, fresh green beans, and Bill's very favorite thing, apple pie. This was the meal that Glenn & I asked for on our birthdays - and whenever we all ate at Mom's. Mine was almost as good as hers.
