Lots going on so a variety of pictures here today. Sat. Mom & I went to the Pocahontas Heritage Days parade and had lunch there. I had not been to this parade before. Sunday after church we had a good Sun. lunch of crock pot whole chicken, peas, mashed potatoes & gravy and a yummy dessert! This dessert is called Oreo Ice Cream Dessert. See recipe below. We used to make this at our church Wed. night meals.

Early last week we had too much rain off and on so there has been quite a bit of flooding with some roads near rivers closed. Lots of standing water that look like ponds in the fields. The crops in those spots are dead now and it's too late to replant.

These first 2 flooding pictures are of the hayfield below the house Glenn & Amy lived in when they first moved here. It's next to a creek.

The last picture on the right is the creek below Peggy's house.
