On the Way to Indiana

On the way to Indiana last week, I was happy to find another Machine Shed Restaurant in Davenport, IA.  People have said this is a good place to eat and I've always wanted to try the one in Des Moines but have never been in the area at the right time.  This worked out perfect to stop here in Davenport for lunch.


The waitresses wear bibs.  The specialty is smoked pork so I had the smoked pork sandwich.  The meal was kind of disappointing including the homemade pie.  I really like banana cream pie and tried theirs but it was the graham cracker crust/pudding type with whipped cream on top.  They did have some nice things in their gift shop.  Glad I stopped!  Always fun to try someplace new.
